3.1 Phillip Lim
3.1 phillip lim's raison
d'etre is making beautiful clothes with added touches of madness,
striving towards the imperfection. Accordingly, Lim says, "3.I is about
clothes that refine instead of define. A refinement that's a bit classic
in attitude, but imparts a sense of individual style, without looking or
feeling forced. Confident, unidentifiable, chic and most of all,
effortless."

Akris
AKRIS.
The name stands for nonchalant refinement. With clear lines and a
special sensitivity for a woman's personality. Self-confident and
feminine. Discreet yet powerful. Creative and charismatic. Its sleek
architecture and carefully set proportions are a tribute to the graceful
attributes of women and unmistakable signature of designer Albert
Kriemler. But to truly understand the allure of AKRIS, one has to wear
it and feel its incomparable quality next to the skin.
The
collection is marked by a clear architectural approach. Albert Kriemler
describes fashion the way others describe houses. He's interested in how
a piece of clothing is constructed, and focuses on structure and
proportion to create impact. With an approach similar to an architect's,
he thinks in spatial dimensions and prefers to work on a human form.
Fashion becomes relevant when it functions in many cultures and is
compatible with a woman s rhythm of life, regardless of her age or
nationality. Albert Kriemler's motivation is to create clothes that
reflect today's mobile lifestyle, and which meet current needs and
demands. There's an art to feeling well in one's clothes, an art that
involves fabric, color and cut.

Chloe
Chloe is founded in 1952
by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born parisienne with a dark beauty and a
bohemian spirit. Rejecting the stiff formality of the 50's
fashion, she creates soft, body conscious clothes from fine fabrics and
called them "luxury pret-a-porter". Unique for their time, they are
beautifully made clothes available off the rack.
"Chloe" - a name they
chose for its warm, feminine appeal - is perfectly in synch with the new
mood of Paris: youthful and modern in design, and slightly audacious in
spirit.

Christian Louboutin
In
1979, as he was walking alongside the streets of Paris, he noticed a
billboard that instructed women tourists not to scratch the wooden floor
in front of the Museum of Oceanic Art.
Louboutin felt bothered by this sign and, as a consequence, he would
draw shoes with compressed buckles and with soles. He admits to having
spent a lot of time as a teenager drawing these types of shoes in his
school notebooks. These shoes would become the base of Louboutin's sales
as a designer.
Louboutin began attending parties and dance halls in Paris, offering his
shoes to the women.

Her
trademark look, a somewhat New Look for women conquering executive
positions in the 1980s, was that of a cut pantsuit, a form-fitting coat
or a slim blouse made of materials in plain grey, black, blue or white.
The fact that her creations were coordinates which could all be easily
combined with each other became a popular characteristic. She created
the so-called onion look (Zwiebel-Look) layering various pieces of
clothing in one outfit. She has been described as the Queen of Less,
Cashmere-Queen, Master of Minimalism, Cool Blonde, Gentle-Jil or Fashion
Reductionist.

Marc
Jacobs attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City and
graduated in 1981.[2] He lived in Teaneck, New Jersey with his mother,
sister and younger brother. At fifteen, Jacobs worked as a stockboy at
Charivari, an avant-garde clothing boutique in New York City[3]. From
there, Jacobs entered the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
During his tenure at Parsons, Jacobs won the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble
Award in 1984 and in the same year was also awarded the Chester Weinberg

With Robert Duffy, Jacobs formed Jacobs Duffy Designs Inc., which
continues to this day. In 1986, backed by Onward Kashiyama USA, Inc.,
Jacobs designed his first collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label. In
1987 Jacobs was the youngest designer to have ever been awarded the
